The Permanent Personnel Visa for the Multinational Company Headquarters and its dependents will be managed through the Technical Secretariat. Foreign personnel who are granted a Multinational Company Headquarters Permanent Personnel Visa will have the right to work in the Republic of Panama, while working within the multinational company with a Multinational Company Headquarters License, as established in Law 41 of August 24, 2007.

These visas can also accommodate the dependents of those who hold a Permanent Personnel Visa of Multinational Company Headquarters, which includes the spouse, minor children or children under twenty-five years of age who are students and the parents of said personnel, who remain in the national territory under the responsibility of the personnel of the Multinational Company Headquarters. The dependents must obtain the corresponding work permits in accordance with current legislation.

The holder of a Multinational Company Headquarters Permanent Personnel Visa will be subject to the same tax regime as that applied to holders of a Special Temporary Visitor Visa when they receive their income directly from the parent company abroad. That is, your income will not be taxed in Panama.

The Permanent Personnel Visa of Multinational Company Headquarters will be granted for a term no longer than that established in the respective employment contract, while working in the company, which may not be longer than five (5) years. Once the Multinational Company Headquarters Permanent Personnel Visa that accompanies it has been granted, it will not be necessary to carry out additional procedures or obtain any permission from another state entity to work at the Multinational Company Headquarters or to reside in the Republic of Panama.

VISA FOR TEMPORARY STAFF OF MULTINATIONAL COMPANY HEADQUARTERS

The Multinational Company Headquarters may manage, through the Technical Secretariat, a Temporary Personnel Visa for the Multinational Company Headquarters for foreign personnel who provide technical or training services to the Multinational Company Headquarters for a term not exceeding three months .

Once the Multinational Company Headquarters Temporary Personnel Visa that accompanies it has been granted, it will not be required to carry out additional procedures or obtain any permission from another state entity to work at the Multinational Company Headquarters, or to remain in the Republic of Panama, for the term granted in the visa.

BENEFITS

Whoever holds a Permanent or Temporary Personnel Visa of the Multinational Company Headquarters may not engage in other work activities other than those carried out at the Multinational Company Headquarters.

The holder of a Permanent Personnel Visa of Multinational Company Headquarters will be exempt, at the time of moving for the first time to the Republic of Panama, from the payment of taxes that may be applied to their household goods due to their importation.
